Admitted to No 1 Canadian Stationary Hospital, Mudros, 5 September 1915 (strained right arm); transferred to Convalescent Camp, Mudros, 19 September 1915; rejoined Bn, Gallipoli, 6 November 1915.

Found guilty, Lemnos, 29 December 1915, of being absent without leave from parade, 29 December: awarded 2 days' Field Punishment No 2.

Disembarked Alexandria, 10 January 1916 (general Gallipoli evacuation).

Found guilty, Tel el Kebir, 14 January 1916, of being absent without leave for 52 hours: awarded 6 days' detention.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 19 March 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 26 March 1918.

Found guilty, 26 March 1918, of failing to comply with a general order: awarded 28 days' Field Punishment No 2.
