Admitted to No 1 Auxiliary Hospital, Heliopolis, 2 November 1915 (varicose veins); transferred to Convalescent Camp, Helouan, 8 December 1915; discharged, 10 December 1915.

Taken on strength, 5th Bn, Tel el Kebir, 7 January 1916.

Admitted to 2nd Australian Field Ambulance, 21 January 1916 (varicose veins); transferred to No 2 Casualty Clearing Station, 24 January 1916; rejoined 5th Bn, Serapeum, 2 February 1916.

Transferred to 57th Bn, and taken on strength, 17 February 1916.

Transferred to 60th Bn, Tel Kebir, 15 March 1916, and taken on strength.

Admitted to 15th Australian Field Ambulance, Staging Camp, 5 April 1916 (otitis media), and transferred same day to No 1 Australian Stationary Hospital, Ismailia; discharged to duty, 4 May 1916.
