Admitted to Delhi Hospital, 21 November 1916 (pleurisy); rejoined 1st Training Bn, 1 January 1917. Admitted to Fargo Military Hospital, 7 February 1917 (pleurisy); transferred to Bulford Manor Convalescent Home, 24 February 1917; discharged to Depot, 6 April 1917, and marched into 1st Training Bn. Found guilty, 6 June 1917, of being absent without leave, Durrington, from 2400, 25 May, till apprehended by Civil Police at 1930, 2 June 1917: awarded 8 days' Field Punishment No 2, and forfeited a total of 19 days' pay. Marched into No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 6 July 1917. Marched into Overseas Training Brigade, 8 August 1917.
