Embarked Fremantle, 23 December 1916; admitted to ship's hospital, at sea, 18 January 1917; discharged from ship's hospital, 20 January 1917; disembarked Devonport, England, 16 February 1917. Marched into 12th Training Bn, Codford, 6 March 1917.

Admitted to hospital, Codford, 10 March 1917; marched into 12th Training Bn from hospital, 16 March 1917.

Proceeded overseas to France, 19 June 1917; taken on strength, 48th Bn, in the field, 9 July 1917, and alloted 'B' to Regimental Number.

Admitted to 39th Stationary Hospital, 25 November 1917 (interconnective tissue, foot); rejoined unit, 2 January 1918.

Found guilty, 27 August 1918, of being absent without leave from 9 pm, 18 August, to 2 am, 24 August 1918: awarded forfeiture of 20 days' pay; forfeited total of 26 days' pay.
