Wounded in action, 23 August 1918 (gas), and admitted to 3rd Field Ambulance; transferred to 11th Stationary Hospital, Rouen, 24 August 1918 (gas poison shell); to England, 27 august 1918, and admitted to 1st Southern General Hospital, Birmingham, 28 August 1918; transferred to 3rd Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 9 September 1918; discharged to No 4 command Depot, Hurdcott, 13 September 1918.

Attached for duty to No 2 Group Clearing Hospital, 15 October 1918.

Admitted to No 2 Group Clearing Hospital, 28 January 1919 (influenza); discharged, 1 February 1919; admitted to No 2 Group Clearing Hospital, 19 February 1919 (influenza); discharged from hospital, 3 March 1919.
