Admitted to 31st General Hospital, Port Said, 13 June 1916 (Cholecystitis); transferred to No 3 Australian General Hospital, Cairo, 20 June 1916; to British Red Cross Hospital, Montazah, 24 June 1916; to 17th General Hospital, Alexandria, 4 July 1916 (gastritis).

Rejoined unit, Bir Etmaler, 14 July 1916.

Died of wounds, 12 August 1916.
