Military Medal 'On the night of 4th April, 1918, near DERNANCOURT near ALBERT this N.C.O. was with a party wiring in front of front line strong-points. In spite of heavy shell-fire he continued the task allotted him until it was completed. His zeal and bravery set a fine example to the men under him, and the work done by his party was of considerable value in holding the enemy attacks the following morning.'
