'Since the Battalion's arrival in FRANCE, C.S.M. BROWN has displayed all the qualities which make a good soldier. In the firing line he is brave, cool, and enterprising. In billets his works has been smart and conscientious and untiring in the interests of his Company. He has set an example which would be hard to equal, to the .C.O.s and men of his Company.'
