Medals |
Meritorious Service Medal 'For gallantry and untiring devotion to duty during the period 14th September, 1918 to 23rd September, 1918 when the Battalion was engaged in the forward area at JEANCOURT. This N.C.O. who was at that time Acting Regimental Quarter Master Sergeant personally supervised the distribution of rations to men in the forward posts and very frequently at great personal risk he visited all the posts to ensure that all men received ample rations. His individual effort did much towards adding comfort to the men under the trying circumstances and his cheery nature and utter disregard of danger was an inspiring example to all.'
