Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty when working at an advanced post. When the officer in charge of the post and a stretcher-bearer were wounded he attended to them under a heavy bombardment, and assisted in carrying them to a place of safety. he showed great courage and coolness.'
