Military Medal 'At MORLANCOURT near ALBERT on 10th June, 1918 these two men [BRYANT and 2758 G.A. YOUNG] displayed conspicuous courage and devotion to duty when acting as linesmen during the successful attack by the 7th Australian Infantry Brigade. All the lines between the Machine Gun Battalion Headquarters and their forward Vickers Guns, also between the 7th Brigade and their Infantry Battalion Headquarters were cut as soon as the enemy put down a barrage, but Young and Bryant repaired the wires under very heavy shell fire continuously throughout the night and maintained communication constantly during the operations.'
