To be Lance Corporal, Gallipoli, 10 December 1915; disembarked, Alexandria, Egypt, from Mudros, 7 January 1916; embarked, Alexandria, to join the British Expeditionary Force, 19 March 1916; disembarked, Marseilles, France, 26 March 1916.

Wounded in action, and admitted to 6th Field Ambulance (shrapnel wound thigh), 3 May 1916; to 8th Casualty Clearing Station, 3 May 1916; to Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, 3 May 1916; discharged to 2nd Australian Divisional Base Depot, Etaples, 11 May 1916; rejoined unit from hospital, 9 June 1916; to be Corporal, 30 July 1916.

Admitted to 22nd General Hospital (gun shot wound head, dangerous condition), Camiers, 5 August 1916; died of wounds, 3:45 am, 6 August 1916.
