'During the attack near ZONNEBEKE on the 26th September, 1917, CAMERON was in charge of a squad of stretcher bearers. When the enemy's barrage was heaviest it was imperative to get a severely wounded man to the R.A.P., a distance of about 1000 yards. CAMERON, without hesitation, got his men together and started off with the man and eventually succeeded in bringing him through. By his devotion to duty and disregard for this own safety, CAMERON set a splendid example.'
