Military Medal 'Near WESTHOEK on September 20th 1917 this stretcher bearer displayed wonderful coolness and courage in carrying wounded under very heavy fire. He repeatedly returned to the firing line and continued to attend to the wounded, showing untiring energy and devotion to duty.'
