Meritorious Service Medal 'This Warrant Officer has been characterized by his resource, initiative and a fine devotion to duty in a period from February until September 1917. Rations and general supplies were at all times made available even under exceptionally trying circumstances whilst occupying the front line. He has proved an indefatigable worker and constantly alert to means of aiding in efforts for the welfare of all ranks.
