On leave to England,16 February 1918; rejoined unit, 6 March 1918.

Treated at 5th Field Ambulance, 23 November 1918; transferred to 37th Casualty Clearing Station, 23 November 1918 (eczema). Transferred to 25th General Hospital, 29 November 1918; transferred to England, 1 January 1919 (influenza), and admitted to Brook War Hospital, Woolwich. Transferred to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 9 January 1919. Discharged from hospital, 16 January 1916, and granted furlough to report to No. 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 30 January 1919.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Marathon', 19 April 1919; discharged, 21 July 1919.
