Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in the vicinity of WESTHOEK and ANZAC RIDGE, on the 4th October 1917. L/Cpl. CASSIDY conducted transport, containing engineering stores, to the forward area under great difficulties, being frequently under heavy shell fire. He showed great initiative in overcoming obstacles. Through the recent operations he showed a total disregard for danger. His good leadership kept up a constant supply of engineering stores. East of YPRES.'
