Detached for duty with Pack Transport Troop, 21 September 1917; rejoined Bn from detachment, 1 October 1917.

On leave to England, 21 September 1918; rejoined Bn from leave, 11 October 1918.

Admitted to 13th Australian Field Ambulance, 23 October 1918 (not yet diagnosed), and transferred to 41st Stationary Hospital (diffuse furnunculosis); to 58th Casualty Clearing Station, 29 October 1918; to 6th General Hospital, Rouen, 9 November 1918 (influenza); to England, 14 December 1918 (influenza), and admitted to Alexander Hospital, Cosham, 15 December 1918 (synovitis); transferred to 3rd Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 10 January 1919; discharged on furlough, 10 February 1919.
