Military Medal 'Private CHERVIN carried out the duties of Stretcher-bearer during the operations 14th/16th September 1918 in front of LE VERGUIER North West of St. QUENTIN and his bearing throughout was worthy of the highest praise. He repeatedly displayed courage of the highest order, and was always among the first to volunteer for some difficult work. by his splendid devotion to duty numbers of wounded were saved.'
