Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty while attending to wounded men under heavy shell and machine gun fire. During the retirement of the rear-guard squadron he attended to the wounded while the enemy were firing at a distance of 300 yards. He showed great devotion to duty.'
