Proceeded overseas to France, 20 November 1917; taken on strength, 54th Bn, in the field, 2 December 1917.

Admitted to 14th Field Ambulance, 24 January 1918 (influenza), and transferred to 24th General Hospital, Etaples; discharged to Intermediate Base Depot, Havre, 13 March 1918; rejoined Bn, in the field, 6 June 1918.

Admitted to 55th Casualty Clearing Station, 12 August 1918 (bronchitis); transferred to Ambulance Train No 21, 13 August 1918, and admitted to 47th General Hospital, Le Treport; transferred to No 1 Australian Convalescent Depot, Havre, 5 September 1918; to Intermediate Base Depot, Havre, 24 September 1918; marched out to 54th Bn, in the field, 9 October 1918.
