Embarked Sydney on board SS 'Melusia', 13 June 1918. After arriving from Kokopo transferred to 'C' Company and seconded for duty to the Government Stores, 10 August 1918. Returned to duty and seconded for duty in the Department of K.H.M. Rabaul, 1 March 1919. Returned to duty from here and proceeded to Kokopa, 2/3 September, 1919. Given furlough to Australia and to return, 9 September 1919, sent overseas to Australia, 20 September 1919. Returned from furlough in Australia and seconded for duty in Department of K.H.M., 22 November 1919.

Graded G2 @ 13/- per day from 25 November 1919 to 27 November 1919, and also from 1 January 1920, 24 January 1920. Graded G1 @ 16/- per day by Master SS 'Nusa', 29 March 1920. Received embarkment notice for SS 'Morinda' for furlough and discharge, 10 May 1920. Notice to embark for Australiaon board SS 'Melusia', 19 May 1920. Sent overseas from Rabaul Garrison to Australia for discharge, 24 May 1920.
