'This man worked between a forward isolated post and the Quarry near MOUQUET FARM on 3rd and 4th September, 1916. He had to travel by a Sap which was so damaged as to merely a track, the vicinity was continually shelled and the enemy's snipers made the route an extremely dangerous one, but COHEN unhesitatingly carried numerous valuable messages between these two points and showed the highest courage and devotion to duty.'
