Found guilty in Alexandria, 4 July 1916, of (1) refusing to obey an order, (2) striking a non-commissioned officer of the military, (3) violently resisting escort, 20 June 1916: awarded 3 months' Field Punishment No 1 (1 month remitted, 5 July 1916); discharged from 'Gabbari Prison', Alexandria, 28 July 1916. Taken on strength, 3rd Training Regiment, Moascar, 22 August 1916. Detached to Imperial Camel Corps and taken on strength, Abbassia, 9 September 1916.
