'As linesman on Headquarters Signallers, this N.C.O. has done fine work. He has continually to run the line to repair breaks, and during the raid on the 2nd March, 1917, when the forward line was broken by the barrage, L/Cpl. COURT repaired the line under heavy fire, and established communication at a very critical stage in the operations.'
