Taken on stength of 32nd Bn as a supernumerary to establishment, 24 May 1916; absorbed into strength, 27 May 1916.

Admitted to No 8 Field Ambulance, Moascar, 30 May 1916 (synovitis of knee); transferred to No 1 New Zealand Stationary Hospital, 31 May 1916; to No 24 Stationary Hospital, Ismailia, 1 June 1916; reported severely sick, 2 June 1916; discharged and rejoined unit, 7 June 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 17 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 19 July 1916.

Killed in action, 19 July 1916
