Medals |
Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during operations near BRAY on 22nd August, 1918. Private ARCHINALL was a Company stretcher bearer. He displayed the utmost contempt of danger, and worked continuously carrying back wounded in spite of heavy machine gun and artillery fire. He organised and led stretcher bearer parties. Not only did the courage and pluck of this stretcher bearer set a fine example to his comrades, but he was also largely instrumental in saving the lives of many men.'
