Military Medal 'During operations at MONT ST. QUENTIN, N.E. of PERONNE, on 31st August 1918, these two soldiers [CUMMINS and 4731 G.O. MUNRO] acted as stretcher bearers, and carried wounded continuously for 24 hours through heavy artillery and machine gun fire.'
