Military Cross 'At Umm Esh Short, on 22nd September 1918. For great gallantry and devotion to duty. He reconnoitred the enemy's position, and although under heavy fire from six field guns, he advanced through the enemy's wire entaglements, and single handed thoroughly reconnoitred the position.'
