Military Medal 'For his courage and disregard for danger during enemy attack near DERNANCOURT South West of ALBERT on April 5th, 1918. Under terrific rifle and artillery fire this N.C.O. carried wounded men to the R.A.P. His work inspired the remainder of the stretcher bearers and earned the praise and confidence of his Company.'
