Military Medal 'At WESTHOEK on 2nd, 3rd and 4th October, 1917, although the Battery was short of Officers, and in the absence of the Captain, these N.C.O.s [CURTAYNE and 485 F. GARDINER] attended to the ammunition supply - personally conducting and regulating the work of the Drivers along the Road - showing great devotion to duty, and strict attention to the welfare of the horses.'
