Wounded in action, 25-30 April 1915 (gun shot wound, right shoulder); transferred to England, 12 May 1915. Returned to rejoin MEF, 21 July 1915; disembarked Alexandria, 2 August 1915; rejoined unit at Gallipoli, 16 August 1915. Admitted to 3rd Field Ambulance, 21 August 1915 (septic throat and pyrexia), and transferred to 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station; to 25th Casualty Clearing station, Imbros, 22 August 1915; to england, 25 November 1915, and admitted to County of London War Hospital, Epsom, 4 December 1915.
