To School of Instruction, Zeitoun, 31 December 1916; returned from School of Instruction, 23 January 1917. Transferred to 1st Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron, 26 January 1917. Passed course at School of Instruction Machine Gun course as 1st Class Machine Gunner. Taken on strength, 1st Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron, 28 January 1917.

To Rest Camp, Marakeb, Gamli, 9 August 1917. Admitted to 1st Light Horse Field Ambulance, Marakeb, 9 August 1917 (debility); discharged to duty, 19 August 1917.
