Medals |
Military Medal 'For most conspicuous gallantry at MONT de MERRIS near STRAZEELE, France, on 14th April, 1918. During an attack by the enemy, Private DANIEL showed great gallantry and devotion to duty in working his Lewis Gun in an advanced post. He was exposed above the parapet and showed absolute disregard for his own safety. He was left to deal with the flank attack on his post and was for the whole period under heavy enfilade fire. He inflicted heavy casualties on the enemy.'
