Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry on 25th February, 1917, during the advance on DINKUM SPUR, near WARLENCOURT. When his Officer was killed on patrol duty, Corporal ARMSTRONG succeeded in beating off the attack of 5 Germans and returned to his post with his Officer's body.'
