Military Medal 'During the operations near BEAUREVOIR and MONTBREHAIN covering the period 3rd to 6th October, 1918, this N.C.O. displayed great coolness, valour and keen devotion to duty. Whilst in charge of a Linesmen's relay post 2nd Corporal DAVIDSON worked under heavy enemy shell fire and through hours of darkness in laying and maintaining forward telephone lines. Throughout the operations he displayed great leadership initiative and courage resulting in unbroken communication between line Battalions and Brigade, over critical periods of the operations and the inspiration of his linesmen to great efforts.'
