Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. On the 16th October, 1917, when packing rations and stores to his Battery at TOKIO (east of YPRES), he had to pass through a heavy hostile barrage during while one of his horses was killed by a shell, but in spite of this and the continued heavy shell fire, Driver F.H. DAVIS succeeded in delivering his load to the Battery. His work throughout the above operations has been marked by the same determination and devotion to duty.'
