War service: Egypt, Western Front Taken on strength, 21st Bn, Tel el Kebir, 7 January 1916. Transferred to, and taken on strength of 57th Bn, Ferry Post, 1 April 1916. Transferred to, and taken on strength of 60th Bn, 4 April 1916. Admitted to 15th Field Ambulance, 6 April 1916 (enestrain), and transferred same day to 2nd Australian Casualty Clearing Station, and then to No 1 Australian Stationary Hospital, Ismailia (ametropia); discharged to duty, and rejoined Bn, Ferry Post, 8 April 1916.
