Proceeded overseas to France, 28 February 1917; taken on strength, 13th Bn, in the field, 6 March 1917. Wounded in action, 11 June 1917 (gun shot wound, left chest), and admitted to 77th Field Ambulance, and transferred to Casualty Clearing Station; to 16th General Hospital, Le Treport, 12 June 1917; to England, 26 June 1917, and admitted to 1st Southern General Hospital, Monyhull, Birmingham, 28 June 1917; transferred to 3rd Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 4 July 1917; discharged to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 23 July 1917.
