Proceeded overseas to France via Folkestone, 10 April 1917; taken on strength, 15th Bn, 16 April 1917.

Proceeded to England on leave, 6 January 1918. Admitted to 2nd Auxiliary Hospital, Southall, England, while on leave (furunculosis), 10 February 1918. Discharged from hospital, 26 March 1918, and granted balance of leave, to report to Victoria Station, 3 April 1918, to proceed overseas. Rejoined unit, 16 October 1918. Detached to Australian Corps School, 27 October 1918; rejoined unit, 22 November 1918. Detached to Australian Corps Headquarters, 9 December 1918. On leave in England, 4-18 January 1919.

Commenced return to Australia on board 'Persic', 13 July 1919; disembarked Sydney, 2 September 1919; discharged, 18 October 1919.
