Medals |
Military Medal 'In the operations near HARGICOURT from 18th to 21st September, 1918, L/Cpl. DENT was in charge of Headquarters runners and set a fine example of endurance and devotion to duty. For a couple of days there was little opportunity for sleep and many messages had to be carried through constant enemy shelling. He was cheerful and willing and took all more important messages himself and his example meant much to those associated with him. He also performed valuable work in guiding in relieving parties and his action throughout was worthy of the highest praise.'
