Military Medal 'At FLEURBAIX, FRANCE. Was bomber for Flank Party 9th Battalion riad carried out on the night 1st/2nd July, 1916. By his gallant and energetic bombing, going forward alone after his bayonet man was wounded, he succeeded in clearing his end of the trench and driving many Germans into the hands of the centre party where they were killed or captured.'
