Red Cross File No 930202 has statement from 2049 J. HANLEY, 30th Bn (patient, Norfolk War Hospital, Norwich, England), 20 November 1916: 'Informant states that on July 20th, 1916 at Fleur Baix J. Dobbie was shot through the head and killed whilst trenching. Informant was eye witness.'
