Meritorious Service Medal 'For continuous meritorious service and devotion to duty. During the period 25th February - 18th September, 1918, Sergeant DODDS has performed valuable work in the care of animals and vehicles. East of PERONNE on 6th September, he also supervised the supply of hot food to the line, personally conducting the carrying party through rifle and Machine Gun fire.'
