Proceeded overseas to France, 1 April 1918; taken on strength, 15th Bn, 17 April 1918. Promoted Corporal, 26 December 1918.

Marched out to England for return to Australia, 2 May 1919. Admitted to 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital, Bulford, 5 July 1919; discharged, 6 September 1919; total period of treatment for venereal disease: 64 days.

Commenced return to Australia on board 'Port Sydney', 22 September 1919; disembarked Melbourne, 12 November 1919; discharged, 12 December 1919.
