Military Medal 'During the operations in the vicinity of HARBONNIERES, East of VILLERS-BRETONNEUX on 8th August 1918, this N.C.O. by his resource and bravery in the face of the enemy, managed to push his gun forward to a position of much tactical importance after being deposited on the final objective by a Tank, and from this position he was able to inflict heavy casualties on the enemy and keep down snipers, thus allowing the infantry to continue their advance.'
