Meritorious Service Medal

'For meritorious service as Foreman Armourer in charge of Divisional Armourers Workshop. The prompt and efficient manner in which the general work of the Armourers shop has been carried out is largely due to his energy and capable supervision; in addition, under Staff Sergeant DUKE's direction, a considerable number of salvaged machine and Lewis guns have been broken down and re assembled. These have sufficed to replace promptly all gun casualties; consequently, the delay necessitated by normal demands on Gun Park has been obviated, and the machine gun strength of the Division has been fully maintained at all times.'
