Military Medal 'Near LE BARQUE, FRANCE, on the 25/26th February, 1917, Pte. DUNGEY acted as a company runner, and displayed the greatest bravery in carrying despatches through artillery barrages. In spite of fatigue he volunteered to carry on in the face of great danger, and although knocked down twice by concussion, he carried on and delivered his despatches, which greatly assisted further operations.'
