Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry on the 10th day of August 1918 at LIHONS. At a critical time during the advance Lance Corporal DUNN brought his Lewis Gun into action under very heavy Machine Gun fire, and greatly assisted the advance by giving covering fire from the flank of the Company. This N.C.O. did magnificent work and controlled his gun team with the greatest coolness and confidence. Later in the day, after he had re-organised and consolidated his section of the trench, he assisted the stretcher bearers repeatedly under a heavy fire by going out, bringing in and dressing the wounded.'
