Admitted to 3rd Field Ambulance, 26 November 1916 (pyrexia, unknown origin); transferred to 3rd Stationary Hospital, Rouen, 27 December 1916 (haemophysis); to England, 8 January 1917 (pulmonary tuberculosis), and admitted to 2nd London General Hospital (condition: severe); transferred to 3rd Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 13 February 1917 (phthisis); discharged on furlough, 23 March 1917, to report to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 7 April 1917.
